Day 1–3

DumaTau – Linyanti’s secret wilderness

Accommodation: DumaTau (3 nights)
Transport: by helicopter from Maun to DumaTau

Welcome to the exclusive Linyanti Concession, where nature is raw, vast, and imposing.

DumaTau is an exclusive luxury safari camp located on the picturesque Osprey Lagoon, deep in the remote north of Botswana. Thanks to its location between two important elephant migration routes, this is the prime spot to experience the famous mega-herds up close, in addition to excellent all-round game viewing. Game drives, walking safaris, and boat safaris are complemented by top-tier facilities such as the Osprey Wellness Center, a gym, and a 12-meter swimming pool.

The camp is situated within a vast 100,000-hectare private concession in the Linyanti area, shared by only four camps. The diverse landscapes – from swamps and the Savute Channel to woodlands and savanna – ensure exceptionally good sightings, especially during the dry season. Predators are frequently sighted here.

DumaTau combines an “off-the-beaten-track” ambiance with modern elegance. Highlights include the iconic floating fire deck and a new double-deck barge for panoramic river cruises. The lodge’s central area features very stylish lounge and dining spaces.

The 7 very spacious suites (104 m²) offer a separate lounge, a large bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, a generous terrace, and a private plunge pool with lagoon views — ideal for spotting elephants. Innovative cooling ensures comfort without losing the open, nature-integrated tent feel.

DumaTau represents eco-luxury, tranquility, and a long-standing reputation as one of Botswana’s finest safari camps.

Days 4–6

Chitabe – A Predator's Mecca

Accommodation: Chitabe Camp (3 nights)
Transport: by helicopter from DumaTau to Chitabe

The Chitabe Concession is among the finest wildlife areas in the Okavango Delta. The concession borders the wildlife-rich Moremi Game Reserve, making predator sightings – such as lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, and hyena – particularly frequent here. The camp offers a classic, authentic safari experience and is renowned for its excellent guides.

Following a complete rebuild in 2025, Chitabe now offers 8 more spacious and luxurious tents, each 113 m², equipped with efficient cooling, an indoor lounge, Nespresso machine, and even a yoga mat! Neutral tones and large windows enhance the panoramic views. Each tent features a private deck and an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers.

Wooden walkways connect the tents to the main area: an atmospheric, thatch-roofed lounge with a characterful bar, central boma, and a quiet reading nook overlooking the plains. There is also a small gym. Meals are served in an open dining area with expansive views. The swimming pool is nestled under tall trees and overlooks open grasslands – ideal for a refreshing break.

The surrounding landscapes consist of a mix of open plains, woodlands, and grasslands, ensuring a rich and varied wildlife offering. Chitabe is particularly renowned for its excellent sightings of African wild dogs, thanks to its location within an active research area. Game drives take place both during the day and at night; guided walking safaris are also available for a more immersive nature experience.

Day 7–9

Vumbura – The Magic of the Water Delta

Accommodation: Vumbura Plains (3 nights)
Transport: by helicopter from Chitabe Camp to Vumbura Plains

Vumbura Plains is one of the most exclusive camps in the Okavango Delta, featuring a sleek, modern design and a location amidst vast floodplains. The 14 luxurious, stilted suites are divided across two stylish camp sections, connected by wooden walkways. From the spacious lounges and terraces, guests can enjoy panoramic views of the delta.

The suites are among the most generous in Botswana: open and elegantly furnished, with indoor and outdoor showers, a lounge area, minibar, coffee and tea facilities, and a private plunge pool overlooking passing wildlife. Additionally, the northern camp features two family suites.

The camp is located in the Kwedi Concession, where both land and water activities are available year-round. Guests can enjoy game drives, walking safaris, mokoro excursions, boat tours, and in some seasons, catch-and-release fishing. The surroundings are a mosaic of seasonal floodplains, woodlands, waterways, and islands – ideal for exceptionally varied wildlife experiences. Regular sightings include elephants, giraffes, various antelopes, buffalo, and numerous bird species, complemented by predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah, and African wild dogs.

Arrival by helicopter immediately offers a breathtaking overview of the winding waterways and the wildlife below. With excellent service, refined gastronomy, and serene luxury, Vumbura Plains offers one of the most complete and unforgettable safari experiences in the Okavango Delta.

Ultimately, Vumbura Plains is a magnificent combination of luxury, style, and spectacular nature.

Day 10

Gray’s Eden – Intimate Luxury by the River

After 9 nights in the wilderness, you arrive at Gray’s Eden, a hidden boutique resort on the Thamalakane River. Small-scale, refined, and incredibly atmospheric: the perfect conclusion to a high-end safari.
